F.O.X Events Unveils Vendor Booking E-commerce Platform for Event Planning

F.O.X Events, a full-service event management startup has announced the launch of its vendor booking e-commerce platform for events.

The platform which aims to revolutionize event planning by simplifying the vendor booking process will allow users to hire vendors across five essential categories: venues, DJ/Band, photographer/video, caterer and equipment rental, and decor services.

Set to go live on April 15, 2023, F.O.X Events says it has rigorously vetted and onboarded 100 vendors in these categories, taking into account their experiences, online evaluations, and referrals to ensure the highest quality service delivery.

“We have been in the event organizing business for over a year, and hiring vendors has been one of the biggest challenges we have faced. It is also a persistent issue in the sector,” Rahel Woldeselassie, founder of F.O.X Events, told Shega.

“Many vendors are hired based on personal connections and recommendations and there is always a certain risk involved when you hire someone. From communication issues to failing to deliver tasks, event planning and organizing comes with their own set of challenges,” she added.

With support from Venture Meda, an e-commerce incubation program implemented by iceaddis in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, F.O.X was able to transform its idea into a viable business model.

Customers can book one or more vendors based on their event type and budget, while F.O.X Events takes on the responsibility of coordinating with the various vendors to deliver seamless and successful events. As for the service provided, F.O.X Events charges users a facilitation fee.

Rahel notes that the prices of vendors on F.O.X are reasonable and consistent, unlike prices in the market where vendors often hike prices up during certain times, such as wedding seasons.

The web-based platform also offers a vendor matching process that grants users access to a wide range of curated vendors, ensuring the best options at competitive rates and with minimal hassle.

With its Xperience-centered approach, F.O.X Events seeks to elevate the event technology sector by enhancing the overall event experience for both planners and attendees with friends and families taking control of their event planning journey.
